The 15 representative specimens of intrusive and extrusive igneous rocks are each approximately 1-1/2” x 1-1/2” and are number coded for identification with the included key card.
The kit includes the following specimens: pegmatite, granite, diorite, anorthosite, gabbro, rhyolite porphyry, trachyte, basalt, rhyolite banded, andesite, tuff, obsidian black, obsidian pitchstone, pumice, and scoria.
This is an excellent introduction to minerals for Grades 4-12. The kit is built to last and provide years of use in your classroom.
